![]() ![]() Though Pexels doesn’t provide as many filters, you can set the orientation of choice as horizontal. Similar to Pixaby, just type in the topic of interest. But there is enough difference to check out each. Be aware that there is an overlap between Pixabay and Pexels so you will find some commonality in the search results. Pexels is another great tool for finding images that you can use with hesitation. Here are five websites to get you started with finding great photos. Be sure to check out the copyright to see what attribution is required. You don’t want something that is too busy or distracting and you do want something that is true to who you are. Also, if you are planning to add a logo or text, don’t add them to the bottom of the background photo, as Zoom may superimpose your name over it while in the meeting. Be aware that, if you have a photo with any transparent pixels, these will show as white. GIF, JPG/JPEG, or 24-bit PNG images can be used. This will definitely identify you as a newbie. If you use a photo with a different ratio, then you can expect to have black bars appearing on the sides since Zoom will fit the photo in the 16:9 space. ![]() Other than using the background photos that Zoom provides, where can you find additional great choices that will set you apart in your next Zoom meeting? Continue reading to find out! The Specs for Zoom Backgroundsīefore we jump in, we should clarify that photos for Zoom virtual backgrounds should be in 16:9 ratio with the ideal resolution of 1920 px by 1080 px. #PIXLR O MATIC KEEP DPI PC#If they added a randomizer to PixelR plus, I'd happily pay the extra dollar just for that, rather than have two redundant space taking apps.If you happen to be using a PC or Mac (not a Chromebook) to connect with Zoom, then you may have noticed that you have the ability to do virtual backgrounds (assuming it has been enabled in the settings). I almost considered paying the $.99 just for the randomizer but I don't want to redownload all those filters, they take up too much space on my iPad for two copies of the same thing. #PIXLR O MATIC KEEP DPI PLUS#If they just added that on to the PixelR Plus app (which I will rate 5 stars, love it!), Pixlromatic would be pointless. It has a lot less control over the effects, no fine tuning, and the only possible crop is a square one. #PIXLR O MATIC KEEP DPI DOWNLOAD#I don't get Pixlromatic- it has all the effects that come free with PixelR Expess Plus but it requires a download for an additional $.99. I still wish the randomizer was PART of PixelR Express Plus so I don't have to go back and forth to fine tune, but for now, enjoying both apps. I broke down and re-downloaded all the same filters I had just downloaded for PixelR Express Plus because I was just having too much fun with the randomizer. OK I just bumped this up from 1 star to 4. Try it out, it’s a good app, but think twice before you begin relying on it or paying for it. I suppose once they have your money, they already have you, and they don’t have to work as hard. They are obviously intelligent enough to keep it running. ![]() Great app-the developers are on point, in creating an easy, user friendly app-which is why I don’t understand why they are so lazy with regards to updates. I am about ready to give up on it and find something more stable to rely on. This is the third time in recent memory, that Pixlromatic has quit functioning. Customers should not have to endure such clunkiness-especially when they pay for something. I rely on my photo editing apps for my business. I know it’s difficult for companies to keep up with phone manufacturer updates, but come on! Right now, to edit a single photo, I have to close Pixlromatic and reopen it after every (editing) action that I take, and then once I save it to my phone, I have to reboot my phone in order to clear Pixlromatic to be able to edit the next photo. It’s beginning to be more frustrating than it’s worth. Pixlromatic breaks just about ever other iPhone update. ![]()
